Will You Love Me Tomorrow
The Shirelles
Written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King.
This song has been released in many versions but the Shirelles had the most popular version when they recorded it in 1960.
The song went to #1 in 1961 on the Billboard Hot 100. Some radio stations refused to play it because they felt the lyrics
were too sexually charged.
The song was used on the movie soundtrack, Dirty Dancing, in 1987, staring Patrick Swazey, of Houston, Texas. Incidentally
Patrick was both writer and performer of the song "She's Like the Wind" in that movie.
Other well-known artists who have recorded this song include Cher, The Four Seasons, Carole King (who co-wrote it), Linda
Rondstadt, Dave Mason, Dionne Warwick, Laura Baranigan, Neil Diamond, and the Bee Gees. Obviously over the decades this
has been a well-travelled but popular song.
